I am happy to announce that I have expanded my services at Campbell Recovery Services. Last week I completed module 1 of the Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) training through the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals. This is based on the work of Dr. Patrick Carnes, a renowned expert in the field of sex addiction. Now I am credentialed as a CSAT Candidate. I plan to spend the rest of the year working through the other modules and with a CSAT Supervisor.

My experience in the substance abuse and mental health field has resulted in treating individuals who have issues with sexually acting out. I have seen an increase in the number of potential sex addicts that are also battling other addictions and trauma. This leads me to pursue becoming a CSAT and making it the next step in my professional journey and development.

I am thrilled to say now, as a CSAT Candidate, that I am taking clients that struggle with sex addiction and compulsive sexual behaviors. I have been trained in several different evidenced-based assessments that identify sex addiction, attachment style, and the connection to trauma. I will be implementing the tasks model I have been trained in.

I look forward to using these new tools to help more individuals and families suffering from addiction.
