Family and Couples Counseling for Greenway Parks, Dallas

Close enough that more than one member of a family can realistically be in the room.

Two parents and their teenage daughter sitting together during a family session

Greenway Parks was Dallas’s first planned neighborhood. Frank Neal Drane bought the land in 1925 and the architect David R. Williams laid out its streets in 1927 across about 150 acres, arranged around eight shared green spaces that still run between the houses and are owned in common. It has been a City of Dallas Conservation District since 2003 and on the National Register of Historic Places since 2008.

It was designed, in other words, for people to be near each other rather than sealed off. That fits the kind of work we are most often asked for here, which involves more than one person at a time.

Work That Needs More Than One Person in the Room

Couples work and family sessions only function if everyone can actually get there. A parent, a partner or an adult child weighing up an hour of traffic each way will find reasons not to come, and the session that matters most is the one that gets skipped.

Greenway Parks is close enough to our office that this stops being the deciding factor, which makes it realistic to bring in the people who are actually part of the situation instead of working around their absence.

That usually looks like:

Who You Would Work With

Households from this part of Dallas most often see:

  • Christie Dixon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR trained and Advanced ART trained, working across couples, family dynamics and teenagers.
  • Rachel Malloy is a Certified Life and Recovery Coach and Family Coach, and came to the work through her own recovery from a substance use disorder that began in her teens.
  • John Campbell, our Founder and CEO, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist.

A Short Trip From Greenway Parks

Our office is at 4809 Cole Avenue, Suite 130, Dallas, TX 75205, a short way east of the neighborhood, which is what makes scheduling several people into the same hour practical.

What Those Who Know Us Best Are Saying

I’ve never had such a positive therapy experience in my life! It wasn’t easy to seek out support and doubted I’d find someone I connected with who could see me on the very limited hours I was available, but John from Campbell Recovery Services took all of my limitations and requests into account. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I have referred many clients to Campbell Recovery Services and have received great feedback about their service.
