Therapy and Family Support for Russwood Acres, Dallas

Counseling for long-settled North Dallas households, including the family members around the person who is struggling.

Russwood Acres was laid out in 1962 on large lots in North Dallas, next to Preston Hollow, and much of its mid-century housing stock is still standing. Around four thousand people live there, and a good number of those households have been in place for decades.

That longevity changes what we get asked about. Less often a sudden crisis in someone new to the city, more often a pattern that has been running quietly in the same family for years and has finally become impossible to ignore.

What Long-Settled Families Ask Us About

The specific questions repeat: an adult child still at home and not moving forward, a parent whose drinking has changed shape since retirement, a loss that the household never really absorbed, or a way of relating that made sense once and now does not.

Substance use and mental health are treated together rather than as separate tracks, because in families like these they are usually tangled with each other and with a long history.

Commonly that means:

What Those Who Know Us Best Are Saying

I’ve never had such a positive therapy experience in my life! It wasn’t easy to seek out support and doubted I’d find someone I connected with who could see me on the very limited hours I was available, but John from Campbell Recovery Services took all of my limitations and requests into account. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Rich W.

I have referred many clients to Campbell Recovery Services and have received great feedback about their service.
